Camryn turned 9!

After counting down the days until her birthday for far too long, Camryn’s special day finally arrived!

She had a whole weekend of celebrations. Up first: family party. She requested ribs and cheesy potatoes for dinner and dress was pajama casual.

The next morning was her birthday, and Daylight Savings Time, which softened the blow of her 5:00 wake up call to everyone in the house. She ripped through her gifts in quick fashion, and then we had a waffle breakfast before heading out to our town’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Warm, sunny weather and the promise of candy made it the perfect day for a parade!

After the parade, we had our crew over for an afternoon-turned-evening of hanging out.

{Camryn blew out exactly zero of her candles on the first try…}

Happy birthday, kiddo!

February Bits

 The pieces of our February puzzle.
{We took advantage of the snow and cold by spending some time “sledding” and skating at my parents’ house. Probably a good thing they were in Florida and unable to witness this firsthand…}

{Camryn got her school’s spring pictures taken. And this is as close as I will ever get to purchasing them. Can’t guilt me into your money grab, picture company.}

{The boys had their wrestling pictures taken. I did buy them, because scrapbooks.}

{Mason was thrilled that Molly wanted to sleep with him. And then she snuck out of the room once he was asleep.}

{Camryn wanted to look fancy for school, so double French braids and a dress it is. How about that kitchen in the background?}

{Speaking of kitchens… Nearly four months after ordering our cabinets, they arrived. Time to stain and varnish!}

{The boys and buddies spent the day snowboarding in what has become an annual event. Also an annual event: the moms sipping on drinks in the lodge for several hours paying zero attention to the mayhem outside. Not pictured: The B boys. Running a tad behind per usual.}
