Love.

Have I ever mentioned just how much this little boy loves his baby sister?! I’m happy to have him hold her safely on his lap, as Jacob recently seems to think his Herculean muscles are strong enough to tote her around the house bear-hug style. Uh, not so much!

Reunited and it feels so good!

Nothing better than getting together with my best friend and her amigos. These girls bellied right up to the block bar where they hung out until eventually losing balance and falling over.

The boys were too fast to catch on camera, but they are all still talking about the fun they had! Me, too. I loved this day!

Adios, polar vortex.

Caleb built a snow fort—complete with two tunnels—for the boys. It’s just a bummer that the 50 degree temperature swing melted all of the snow. Or is it?!

Another upside to the tropical, mid-30 temps? Caleb removed our Christmas lights in record time this year!

OCD, yes?

Organized by color and shade. Do I really have that much free time? No. No, I don't.

Angels and such.

At the store the other day, the man in line behind us took a look at Camryn and said "the only thing that sweet little angel is missing is a halo." I agree.

At our house the other day, my mom took a look at Mason and said "his halo is held up by his devil horns." I also agree.

Holy smokes, it’s winter!

I am not sure if it is the seriously cold weather, the foot or so of snow that was dumped on us, the possibility of slight frostbite that we treated on Jacob’s cheeks today, the snow tunnel that Caleb built for the boys in our front yard, having snow-blower-size envy, finishing off the last packet of hot chocolate, or going for rides on Uncle Joey’s snowmobile that sealed the deal. But winter is here, and it seems to be making itself quite comfortable!

Winter Fun

The boys had a blast sledding down the hill behind our house. While they were doing that, Camryn and I opted for a more weather-appropriate sport: shopping!

Yay for husbands who get put in charge of these cold activities!
