Where's the snooze button on this thing?

Like clockwork, Jacob wakes up every morning at 5:45. And like clockwork, I turn off the baby monitor every morning at 5:45 for just an extra 15 minutes of quiet. It doesn't matter if we put him to bed at 6:30 or 8:00 the night before, the little guy always, always, ALWAYS wakes up at 5:45. Will he ever learn that it is OK--and very appreciated--to sleep until our alarm clock goes off?

I think it will get better the older he gets...it did for us anyways! :)

Evy was stuck at 5:45 for a while and then I couldn't take it any longer so I started putting rice cereal back into her last bottle of the night (we used to do this every night). 2 tablespoons of cereal to 4 oz of formula. It worked! She started making it until 6:30 and now I don't do the cereal any more. It's amazing the difference those extra 45 minutes make! If you do this make sure to cut the holes of the nipple a little bigger so the thicker formual will still flow.

I did try putting cereal in with the formula but got the same results. I will just chalk it up to the fact that Caleb and I are SO much fun to hang out with that Jacob just can't wait for us to wake up-- like a kid on Christmas... just every morning!

I would tell my friends that my kids thought "sleeping in" meant 6am. So I am thinking this is a payback :)
