My Space

Caleb and I went to see Cop Out last night (good movie, but not the point of my story). So about 15 minutes before the previews began, and in a half-empty theater, this couple sits down near us. I say near because I always put my purse in the seat next to me to avoid having my personal space invaded by strangers. The man goes on to ask if anyone is sitting in the seat that my purse is in. I say no, and move my purse thinking that another couple might be joining them. But, no, I was wrong. Instead, this man just helps himself to the seat that my purse was occupying. Seriously? Am I the only person out there who feels it's a bit invasive to sit on top of strangers at the theater when there are clearly several seats available?! Whatever happened to respecting other people's space? And don't even get me started on how he blew (loudly) the salt off of each piece of popcorn before he shoveled it into his mouth. (The irony in that situation is that all of the popcorn comes unsalted; patrons have to add salt to it themselves. So if you know you are going to be huffing and puffing the salt off, then why do you think you should put it on in the first place?!) But all things considered, a good movie and a good date with the hubby.

It never fails when I go to a show, I get the woman with "huge" hair, the guy that is probably around 7' tall or the hat person!! Never fails!! And, I always ask, "WHY ME", when there are so many other seats available! Grrrr!! >^..^<
