Camryn is 11!

And reminded us that it was exactly four years ago on her birthday that the world closed down. But this time around, it’s all about her!

Practices got in the way of a formal celebration on her actual birthday, so instead this has become the week of Camryn.

Starting with Tuesday: My mom is back in town for the big birthday extravaganza, so we had her over for dinner and cake on a night when we didn’t have to dart out for sports. Camryn picked a family staple meal of ham and zucchini for dinner. She likes the dinner, but more importantly, she knows that Mason hates it which is where the inspiration came from. The sibling love runs deep with those two…

Wednesday (her actual birthday): Cam awoke to a breakfast of Munchkins and a phone call to her dad where she opened her gifts with him over Facetime. Schedules are tricky, and gifts cannot wait to be opened! The evening was packed with sports—and Camryn said her team serenaded her on the mat in front of the entire gym before their practice routine. She said it was embarrassing, but I hope she secretly loved the attention!

Caleb’s parents came in town for the weekend where we had round two of birthday extravaganza with a side of baseball game and cheer coopetition. It was a great week to be Camryn!
