End of An Era
In eighth grade (like a million years ago), my Grandma gave me a wire-thin, forget-me-knot ring that I wore every single day. Seriously, I never took it off. Through two pregnancies even. And you know how fat pregnant fingers get... Anyways, today it broke. Sad that it happened, but so glad that I noticed it before it could fall off and be lost forever. I'm not sure that it can be fixed, and it certainly won't be replaced. (Unless I'm surprised with something super diamond-y from the hubs...) Finger's feeling kinda naked right now.

Cottonwood Farm
With weather so nice, it was surprising that we had the run of the pumpkin patch today. Not complaining.

[On the hay rack ride out to the pumpkin patch.]

[An Army inflatable obstacle course. I'm pretty sure we could have left Jacob here for several hours and he would have never known. Where can we get one of these for our playroom?]

[On the grain train. Hang on tight, it was a bumpy ride. Jacob fell off his seat at one bump, looked around, and asked "Why did I fall down?" Still laughing. (Me, not him.)

[In the corn maze. Jacob tried to get lost, and Mason laughed the whole walk.]

[Braver than I thought he would be. But not brave enough to feed the goat like Jacob did.]

[On the train, and realizing that this kid really needs a hair cut in the worst way.]

[This is about as good as it gets when you are trying to coordinate two kiddos. And if you could see behind this set, you would see Caleb hoisting both boys up. Super stretch...]

I'm sooo over today.
Pleading, bribing, and threatening. That was the cycle I went through several times today in a miserably failed attempt at getting Jacob to listen. (Am I the only one out there with an extremely defiant 3ish year old?) It resulted in tears (by me) and a super early bedtime (for him). I'm no drinker, but this might turn into a three beer kinda night. And, for the record, it only takes two beers to get me drunk...
