Jacob was on the bed crawling around this morning when I turned away for a quick second. Big mistake. Jacob crawled off the bed and landed on the floor with a large thud. He screamed, I freaked out, and Caleb lectured me on how I should never take my eyes off of our little guy. Once the dust settled everything appeared to be OK, but lesson learned. When I relayed the events to my mom she assured me that I turned out fine after rolling off the bed, so Jacob will be OK, too. Wait a minute--you let me fall off the bed, mom? What were you thinking?!
I think this must be a rite of passage into motherhood, and I can promise you that it hurt me more than it hurt Jacob.

ouch. that would be tough. jon did the same thing with bryce. oh, and he slammed his finger in the door too. you are not alone in this big parenting world. glad he's okay!
no matter how closely you watch your child, as soon as you sneeze, something happens. Must be some kinda rule. . .
Welcome to the club...
Meredith fell down the basement stairs when she was about 9 months old. I must have left the door open when I brought up the last load of laundry. It hurt me WAY more than it hurt her. Glad Jacob is okay!
