It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Nothing says Christmas like wrapping gifts to Berle Ives or listening to my mother-in-law sing her rendition of "Santa Baby" (over and over and over!), but isn't it a bit premature for one of my car radio presets to have made the switch to all holiday music all the time? What happened to the day-after-Thanksgiving rule of thumb? I know that stores gear up for the holidays mid-summer, but do the radio stations really have to follow suit?

Must be your other mother in law that sings Santa Baby?!

Joan: Chestnuts, really? I have never heard you sing that one. You will have to sing it for me when the holidays get closer.

Emily: You must just tune your momma out. Caleb and I both classify Joan's holiday spirit by her singing Santa Baby (which she never really sings more than the words "Santa baby"...)
